Shella Nulve is an Imperial Knight and Inquisitor, formerly serving as one the Hands of the Emperor for Traugus Fel II. She is a Korun, a Human species that is made up entirely of force-sensitives.
After the revival of the Inquisitorious in 1001 ABY, the Hands of the Emperor were absorbed into the new organisation and Shella was made a High Inquisitor.
History[]
Backstory[]
Born in the world of Haruun Kal as one of the native Korunnai. As a child, Shella's home was attacked by Kubaz slaver who had come to the planet seeking to get Korunnai slaves - valuable for their force-sensitivity. In the attack her parents had been killed and she was kidnapped. She was to be sold to the Exchange, but were intercepted by a Hand of the Emperor that was tracking down the force-sensitive slave trading ring alongside Imperial Intelligence. Ultimately, Kubaz slaver was cornered and captured and his slaves released. During the incident Shella had lost both her legs and would have lost her life if not for the Hand. Having no family to return to, Shella was taken in by the Imperial Knight and sent to Bastion to train.
Shella proved to be a faithful and skilled servant of the Emperor and by the age of 26 she had been made a Master. Shortly after she was made a Master her rescuer, Master Hilda Vetter, died. She had been close to the late Hand and wanted to pay her respects to Master Vetter and wanting to maintain her legacy she begged the Emperor to be made Hand. She was put through rigorous trials and passed them, being accepted as Traugus' new Hand.
Darkness Returns[]
In 1001 ABY, the Empire uncovered a Sith relic on Yavin IV during one of its archeological expeditions. The relic sent out a shockwave through the force, notifying the Emperor of its discovery. Having lost contact with the research team, he sent Master Leojos and Aurian on a mission to find the scientists and retrieve the relic. The Imperial Knights succeeded in their mission, however, came across Black Sun forces led by a Sith. She killed herself instead of being captured after she was defeated by Leojos.
On investigating the Sith relic, it was discovered that it led to another Sith temple, this one on Drommund Kaas. Traugus formed a joint team with the New Jedi Order, sending Shella Nulve, and the formerly retired Master Arka Kloth to represent him. On Drommund Kaas, the team entered the ruined temple, passing its trials and vanquishing its guardians. They followed the trail of the relic to the Unknown Regions, where they uncovered an ancient Sith warship inhabited by Sith purebloods that had survived in stasis for millennia. The Sith awakened and attacked the Imperial forces, destroying their Star Destroyer. Shella faced the master of the Sith, Darth Magice, but was too weak to defeat him despite the aid of the others. The Sith killed Master Skywalker and nearly killed the rest of the team. Before then, Grandmaster Marr rescued them through the Force by teleporting them back to Coruscant. After confirming the reappearance of the Sith, Emperor Traugus declared a new Imperial Inquisition, reforming the Inquisitorius from his own Knights in order to hunt down the Sith and end them before they have a chance to rise to power.
